About Me

Hi there!
Now that you want to know about me (Of course! That's why you clicked the tab, lol), let's just put it in the simplest way possible (Tough for me!)
Oh! Don't pay attention to the parenthesis much, if you are a serious (very, very serious person!) Ah, you are rebellious, eh? I like you already!

JK.

I'm a Scorpio by zodiac (a November one, that is!), and an ambivert by nature (We all are!).
I started writing when I was 11 years old, where the definition of writing would be more on the lines of scribbling, doodling, and penning down diary entries. Not much has changed though, except that I find my write-ups to be a tad-bit sensible now, lol, and diary entries- nada, I have learnt that it's absolutely all right to keep things to yourself and if at all there's a cauldron of emotions flowing, you can always let it reflect in your writings, and then of course, there are audio journals, which I love doing.

I completed by Bachelors in Journalism & Mass Communication under the University of Calcutta, followed by post graduation in Multimedia Journalism from the Indian Institute of Journalism & New Media.

I believe in the fact that to define is to limit, and I hate being perimetered under any circumstance. Mood swings come naturally to me and I believe that the unpredictability of life is its true veracity. As much as I hate to admit, I can't deny that I surprise myself way too often, as I can be a literal brooding individual one minute and next minute soaring high in the halo of Disneyland.
Memories are extremely precious to me and my family and friends are my everything. I believe in keeping my circle small and totally put my heart in long-term relationships. I hold extreme pride in the fact that those who were my friends during my kindergarten are my friends even now, and hence, despite the theory that change is inevitable, I abide by the fact that you can make some things remain constant if your faith in them is as constant as the northern star.

I love travelling, shopping, and exploring every nuance of life. Thriller is my favorite genre in writing, but that doesn't mean I refrain myself from experimenting with other genres like romance, humour, etc.
I'm an ardent lover of literature and some of my favorite writers from the long past era include names like Robert Browning, Wilfred Own, William Wordsworth, William Shakespeare (yes!), Sylvia Plath, and many more.

Oh, you won't see me flaunting my novel collection or holding a book in my hand every time you meet me, although my friends always envision me as a strict English teacher who is a grammar Nazi; and the first part is simply due to the fact that I don't join the bandwagon of buying best sellers and giving them a try. I read anything that comes my way and piques my interest, from fan fictions to health articles, from entertainment, to fiction, and non-fiction, from satire to comic books-- at the end of the day, it is all about fun and peace of mind.

Talking about fun by the way-- Hope you have fun reading my blogs (there are too many of them, I know!).

Best,
Simi
